Aw... Warmth

I heard birds chirping when I woke up this morning. It got me so excited for spring and warm weather!! This is what I'm most excited for though.

...and yes the snake likes it too.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire last night and I really liked it. I'm happy it did so well. This song is great. If you haven't seen it yet, this trailer may make you want to.

I'm grateful for people that inspire. One of those people for me is Stacia. When I started hair school I had no idea what I was getting into. Most people who start hair school think "How hard can it be?" It was one of the biggest commitments I had ever started. 2000 hours is your goal and it doesn't seem like it would be that bad, but day in and day out, it feels like eternity. Sometimes I would ask myself, what am I doing? Do I really want to do this? Every time I questioned myself Stacia made me remember why I was doing it. It's not like she talked me into it or anything, I just looked at her and her career and I knew I could do it.

I had her do my hair on Monday at her salon and just being there in her element jump started me again. I'm so grateful for people like her. People that can inspire and motivate without even saying a word. I hope that can be me one day.

I couldn't find any of my pictures with her but here is a stencil I did of her for her before she stopped teaching at Bon Losee.

My cousin Katie moves to LA this week to play professional soccer for the Los Angeles Sol. I am so excited for her! It has been so fun to watch her progress with the sport. She is my hero. She has been playing for BYU for the past four years. Everyone keep an eye out for her.

These are two albums that I can't get enough of as of late.

Illuminate is the perfect title for Lydias album. It's wonderful.

I never spent very much time listening to John Vanderslice but lately I can't turn Emerald City off.

She's 20!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Things that make me think of you:
*Laughing at Dad
*Making sweet rolls
*Hearing "Wanna make something healthy?"
*Snuggling in the Love Sac
*Playing Ping Pong in the Alps
*Taking one million pictures of our face
*Hearing "What should we make for breakfast"
*Not deciding on something for breakfast for at least an hour
*Getting splashed on gondolas
*Rafting down any body of water we can find, even if it is only two inches deep
*Almost drowning in a capsized raft in Provo river
*Walking down the shores of Normandy
*Riding Grandma and Grandpa's 100 year old bikes with homemade seats
*Being Happy

Severe?!?

Yesterday I saw a truck with a company sticker on the back window. The company was called "Severe Taxidermy". Could their last name possibly be Severe? Or does it mean exactly what it sounds like? What is Severe Taxidermy?! I'm curiously disturbed.

Excuse me Mr. James

Left: Hayley and I being embarrassed after getting rejected a picture with Joshua James because he was "plugging things in".

Right: My favorite picture of the night. If you look between Mckay and Willy you can see him being a bit of a Devil.

I'm happy all the Gnomes made the cut. 49 was the lucky number of the night.

Joshua James played beautifully. The video is of Abbie Martin.

Every month Jeffrey Liechty prescribes a book for me to read. This was the book for January and I didn't get my hands on it until the 30th. I just finished it yesterday. It took me a mere eight hours. I could not put it down!

I recommend it to all!

Jeffery is convinced the author sold her soul for this story. You be the judge.

Thirsty anyone?

I went on a limb the other night and impulsively bought a Pig in a Blanket from the counter at Maceys. It looked surprisingly good and I had never had one. The lady at the counter asked if I would like a to add a drink bringing the total to $1.99. I thought sure why not.

Then she handed me the cup.

!!!??!!!

Who offers an upgrade of a drink and then gives you a sipper cup size drink?!

p.s. - That straw is average size.
