Brett your comment made me think of this video.

This is why I love where I live.

This is the tree we see when we walk out the back door.

This is what happens when it decides to ditch its leaves.

I raked yesterday so that we will be ready for the legendary Logan City leaf sucker. It turned into the biggest leaf pile I have ever made. An old couple walking by even asked if they could jump in it.

I love the Fall.

The Tea

When someone asks us to come to a witches tea in witches attire, we take it pretty seriously. The night was full of cackling and strange brews. It was great.

My mom taught us how to make pies. She did such a great job. I love this picture of her and Janelle. Janelle is such a treat to have in our ward.

We live a block and a half away from Smiths grocery store so I end up shopping there quite often. I don't know why I feel like I need to go look at the bakery every time I go, but I do. I started noticing that the donuts were kind of... well... crazy! I risk my reputation every time I take a picture of them, but I CAN'T HELP IT! Look at them! I love picturing the pastry chefs in the back room listening to Willy Wonka or Alice in Wonderland in the background while they think up these crazy donuts. I wonder if they stick their hands in boxes of cereal and just throw them everywhere. I can't get enough of them and I will never stop taking pictures of them.

Next time you are at Smiths, check to see if your local pastry chefs are as crazy as ours. Then let me know.

Livin in the Ritz

My family is definitely a "nose bleed or nothin" kind of family, and I'm completely fine with it. Everyone once in a while a privileged friend gives us a taste of the high class life. Last night it was Dale. He is one of our most dear friends. I don't think there is anyone else in this world like him. The first time we ever meet him he sat quietly in the corner of our living room and eventually disappeared into the kitchen and started doing dishes. It became a regular occurrence despite us begging him to stop. He loves to work. He has a thousand jobs just because he likes them. He was generous enough to let us use a couple of his Real season tickets. None of us gnomes had ever been to a game so that alone was a treat. He took us all out to dinner before and then drove us there in his monster truck to his special reserved parking spot. The seats were practically on the ground.
If it wasn't Dale I would have rolled my eyes at that life style. He is so generous and SO humble. He is such a treat. Everyone should be his friend. He will love you, I promise.

The Market

Yesterday was my second time selling beanies at The Gardeners Market and I was 200 times more successful than I was the first time. It was great. It was 45 degrees cooler, so that may have contributed to my success. Whatever the case, it was great. The kids were all dressed up for Halloween. It was my first time to be the one passing out the candy. It was fun. I had a bowl full of nerds, dumb-dumbs and candy sticks (aka- candy cigarettes, those were secretly my favorite growing up, needless to say my booth was a hit).

These kids won best costume in my book.

Marathon Number 2... Check.

Well the gnomes are finished with marathons. At least for the year. Nat finished like a champ. It was fun to watch all the runners. Beard-o was a treat (below), and Bride (who got married right after the marathon). Matt came and surprised Natalie, this picture proves she loved it. P.S. - Look at those biceps!

Yes I know it says celebration your marathon. It's a joke.

This picture is for Jo. Tatum is one of my favorite babies. I hope she never grows up.
