So things are really good right now. Because my camera is lost I never take pictures of my life and therefore never blog anymore. I realize that I can blog about my life without pictures. Afterall "Pictures only prove you can't convince"... right Hayley. I started school at USU. I love it. I like being on campus and I like that I know whats "going on" up there. More importantly I love school. I didn't think after taking a year and a half off I would miss it so bad. I forgot what a nerd I am. I actually enjoy all of my classes. I was telling Natalie last night that I don't look at the syllabus for Political Sciense to see what he will talk about next because I want it to be a surprise when I get there. I love learning about everything he has to say. I love learning German and I love Professor Tweraser. I love that he wears his glasses above his ears. I love that he only speaks to us in german and that he always uses the word mixer when he is talking about a party. He is so great. Physiology is great too. I'm glad I find it so interesting. Dang... I used the word love a lot back there.

I like my new Dentist which is saying a lot because I have never liked any of my Dentists. I am in the process of having all my fillings done, ten in all, with the surprise root canal. My mouth has been hurting forever and because I hated my previous Dentist I never went. I guess I'm paying for it now. Dr. Skinner was great though. He even personally called me last night to make sure I wasn't in any pain from the root canal. What a champ.

Our tomatoes are all over the place! I love that we can go pick them garden fresh every day. I made Gnocchi yesterday for lunch and was so happy that I could just go pick a couple and dice them into my sauce. It was so tasty. Willy wasn't a fan but I know one day his taste buds will mature. The food network has transformed me. Two years ago I was screwing up "just add water muffins", and I'm not even joking. After watching it day in and day out with my dear patient Ruth I've transformed! I was even giving my mom advise on her chicken cordon bleu the other day. It's a miracle. If I had the time and money I would be cooking a lot more.

Anyways, life is still good. In fact, its getting better.

This is the man

This is the book

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."

"There is a love of wild nature in everybody, an ancient mother-love ever showing itself whether recognized or no, and however covered by cares and duties."

"If my soul could get away from this so-called prison, be granted all the list of attributes generally bestowed on spirits, my first ramble on spirit-wings would not be amoung the volcanoes of the moon. Nor should I follow the sunbeams to their sources in the sun. I should hover about the beauty of our own good star. I should not go moping among the tombs, nor around the artificial desolation of men. I should study Nature's laws in all their crossings and unions; I should follow magnetic streams to their source and follow the shores of our magnetic oceans. I should go among the rays of the aurora, and follow them to their beginnings, and study their dealings and communications with other powers and expressions of matter. And I should go to the very center of our globe and read the whole splendid page from the beginning."

The self is given to us that we may sacrifice it: it is ours, that we, like Christ, may have somewhat to offer.

Ah... so much

It's so great to be back in Logan. I feel like I've been gone so long, Hay and I almost forgot we still live here. I have been a vagabond for the past week, never sleeping in the same bed twice. My bed missed me. I'm grateful for all the adventures I had. I traveled 1554 miles in the past seven days and saw everything from the Grand Canyon to Zion (well from a short distance) to the beautiful Wasatch back. I love my life.

On the drive to Havasupai Jo was kind enough to read this entire book aloud to us. I loved it and wish everyone would read it. DO IT NOW!!

Our able bodies and reliable gear treated us well in the Oasis they call Havasupai. The water was still as blue as ever but the landscape unfortunately has changed due to the flood last year.

This is Havasu Falls. The right pic is last year.

This canyon was formed where Navajo used to be.
IT'S CRAZY!!

It didn't stop us from having any fun though. The Gnomes still managed to be annoying as ever in our matching yellow tank tops.

We got pretty good at taking on the spot naps where ever we put our heads down. It was quite a site. We looked so homeless.

If I could sum the trip in a few misquoted quotes these would be them:
-It looks like I have measles of the feet!
-This has 40 grams of protein!!
-I think it was a zebra desert cobra
-I would trust Fletcher with my life
-Do you think it's cheaper to stay here now that its all f'd up?
-Did they steal any of your stuff? ...I'm going to throw them of the f'ing cliff.
-"Ask the Jews to take it!"
-This has 18 grams of protein
-I'm surprised more people don't die here!
-The squirrel stole Rhodes nuts!
-I think the reason we got eaten alive last night is because we were sleeping on horse crap.
-Lets do it spider style
-Excuse me, Did you just say ba-day?

I'm glad we all think we are so funny. It makes everything so much better.

Good times.

Trip Part 2:

The mountains make me happy if you can't tell.

I'm going to miss this girl bad.

Night Hikes with glow sticks.

I got to do hair in the most beautiful salon EVER!!

Life is good.
